Department of Homeland Insecurity
The media, continuing to handle Barack Obama with kid gloves, has failed to scrutinize his choice for DHS head, Janet Napolitano. An extremely ignorant woman and an apparently walking gaffe machine, Napolitano seems intent on either embarrassing herself or propagandizing the public into a false sense of security. A perfect example is her off-the-wall comments about the Mexican cartels:
Napolitano acknowledged Thursday that violence in Mexico "has risen to very high levels." But she said that although the U.S. is planning for the potential for violence to move north across the border, it hasn't happened yet.
"Right now it has not (crossed the border). But it is a contingency we have in mind because it could," the former Arizona governor told reporters. "We have contingency plans should violence spread into the United States."
How can someone with a straight face hire someone as ignorant and out of touch as this? A few minutes on any search engine will explode Napolitano's remarks.

A CNN Video detailing the kidnappings of Americans in Mexico and in the US. Kidnapping has become an alternate form of income for cartels who have seen greater difficulty in smuggling drugs.
Has this woman not been briefed by the FBI, US Attorneys General, Border Patrol and other related agencies?! It would seem that she's been living with her head in the ground.
