Hypocrisy and Spin vs Hard Reality and the Right to Exist

"…Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert suggested … that the army open fire on African refugees crossing into Israel to stem what he depicted as a 'tsunami' of asylum seekers threatening the Jewish state’s future

According to Israeli media reports, Mr. Olmert instructed his defense minister, Ehud Barak, yesterday to prevent 'at any price' the entry of asylum seekers from Egypt, including by 'use of reasonable force.'

Asked if this meant opening fire on the refugees, Mark Regev, a spokesman for Mr. Olmert said 'No one wants to see any harm come to anyone, but we can’t have a situation where because the economic situation is Israel is better and because Israel has a land border with Africa you can have a constant flow of people coming in looking for jobs.'"

Alas, we see that Israel's dilemma is similar to that of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The reason for Olmert's words and Israel's policy, if not obvious, is Israel's racial demographics. In a country where the majority birthrate does not keep up with that of minority groups, the Israeli government has indicated by moves such as this that it recognizes the coming demographic crisis in its future. The Israeli government has no illusions of what will happen to the "Jewish State" if Jews cease being in a demographically advantageous position to keep control of the country. Other Western countries face the same dilemma. Enter the hypocrisy.

Imagine if a prominent political figure in the United States made a similar comment regarding the porous border with Mexico. It would be a circus if not a literal riot. The career of whoever dare speak such things would be over on the spot. Media, pressure groups, and "antiracism" groups would descend like a carrion on the fresh corpse of a dog. Ironically yet unsurprisingly, all three groups are glaringly silent in the face of Olmert's words. One of the most prominent American groups pushing for lax treatment and unhindered support of illegal aliens is the Anti-Defamation League. The ADL is also a major backer of Israel and regularly releases predictable statements in support of Israel in spite of her crimes, and also engages in much double-talk about "xenophobic, racist" Americans whose patience are worn thin by an even larger tsunami of illegal aliens and crime coming across the border. Yet, with all these loud denunciations, the ADL has not uttered a single word regarding Olmert's remarks, even though his position is certainly infinitely more influential than the Minuteman movement, who never advocated that illegal border crossers be shot and which the ADL has spent considerable energy attacking. Such ideological hypocrisy is nothing new to the ADL. Nowhere on its site will you discover that Israel has an ongoing military practice of using Palestinian civilians - including juveniles - as human shields in its raids in the Occupied Territories. A quick search of the ADL's site shows that the only mention of "human shields" are ones allegedly used by Palestinian militants and Hezbollah.

To add insult to injury, Americans specifically are heavily lobbied and propagandized to support Israel and its "right to exist," while many of the same lobbying groups who disseminate these messages are two-facedly demanding that the American people put their nation's future in jeopardy by allowing a massive and dangerous demographic shift to take place which Israel is scrambling to avoid. Olmert is referring to keeping mere thousands out of Israel, whereas Americans are admonished to take in millions. Essentially, the ADL are demanding that we respect Israel's right to exist while implying that we do not have the right to exist by wresting away our right to control our own borders and protect our culture and way of life by extension. Thus, the truth is discovered in not the spoken, but the unspoken. What we're left with is questions of why the ADL would advocate an open immigration policy for the United States and other Western countries that Tel Aviv realizes in the long run would be national suicide and so worried Ehud Olmert that he suggested opening fire on migrants - with the ADL's silent complicity. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

The West needs to have the kind of resolve that the Israeli government is displaying in its willingness to protect its borders and existence by any means necessary. If you support Israel and believe the world will be less without her existence, then what will the world lose once the demographic scale is irretrievably tipped in the United States and the rest of the Western world? Ehud Olmert sees a future that most Westerners do not see approaching. Without borders, there is no nation.
